The holy city of Mathura is world-renowned for its religious prominence among the Hindu devotees. Annually, more than 100 million or ten crore people visit the holy sites where dwelt the Hindu’s beloved Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha.
The sites include Lord Krishna’s and Lord Radha’s, and Lord Radhakrishna’s temples and devotees also circle around the holy Govardhan hill as in Parikrama, that as per the mythological tale, the Lord Vishnu’s incarnate (or earthly avatar) lifted on his little finger to save his clan from the rage of Rain God Varun.
The majority of the Hindus all around the world have heard these tales as their childhood staple diet. Thus, Mathura has emerged as a major pilgrimage centre and tourism hub at the same time for visitors all around the globe.
Since a string of festivals occurs all through the year, there are no seasonal ups and downs in the number of visitors here. Also, for the busy urbanites from the national capital region, the city district is fast evolving as a favourite getaway where they could mix religion with the pleasure of picnic and travelling.

Sir, what was your inspiration behind venturing into the business arena?
Mathura offers many tourist attractions such as the birthplace of Lord Krishna and various other temples and it is the Hindu culture prominent. Despite it being a great tourist spot it lacked the experience of fine dining.
A few years back when I intended to treat my family to a luxurious dinner, I couldn’t find a suitable space for it and the inception of Bansal Foods happened. We aim to provide a fine dining experience at an affordable price. Feeding people feed not only their stomachs but our souls as well.
What were the initial challenges that you had to surmount to enjoy your business success rate to reach greater heights?
Being part of HoReCa–Hotel/Restaurant/Catering–is not an easy task. Like any other business, it has its own challenges, rules, procedures and of course ups and downs. Until we go down, we do not understand the value of up. The height at which today Bansal foods enjoys is due to the persistence and hard work of the team. Searching for a suitable team was one of the most difficult challenges in this industry. It is not about only having cooked fresh and delicious food, but it is to be served with care to really make people appreciate the fine dining experience of being served.
What professional values in qualities do you think your clients’ value in you and Bansal Foods the most?
I believe that people have different kinds of expectations of different things, and they calculate their value of them in a different manner. The most important thing is to know that you cannot be 100% correct at all times but constantly trying to improve yourself. I think people like it that we accept all kinds of initiatives and value their opinion.
As an experienced professional what would you like to advise the budding aspirants willing to enter the business world?
In life experience is available everywhere it is all about perceptions opportunities do not come knocking but we have to go and look for them it was a time when your opportunities were readily available but now the competition is fierce, one can only survive by providing something unique. In the initial stages think of providing good service rather than calculating profit. Once you will have a stronghold, the growth does not take time.
How do you envision Bansal Foods’ operation with emerging technology and automated tools that are revolutionizing the business world by enabling innovations?
Technology and innovations are the need of the hour. One who does not keep pace with the technological advancement for remains stagnant and unable to grow. Technology plays a vital role across the business sector. A simple click will provide you with all kinds of information about the people’s experiences and reviews of the restaurant.
Social media platforms give a boost not only to the volume of people moving in and out of the city but to everyone who is looking for it. Something readily available but people do not know about it, it is a waste.
