Apple may follow the universal code and adapt to the change by adding USB Type-C charging ports and chargers in their new generation iPhones. According to Apple tracker iDrop, the latest version of the iPhone will have a USB Type-C instead of a Lightening Port for charging and data transfer.

Apple started rolling out USB Type-C chargers with the launch of the iPhone 12. However, the lightning port is still seen in the latest smartphone release. Despite adapting to the USB Type-C charger, Apple is yet to clarify the air on fast charging option.

The latest series of iPhone is likely to come with a USB Type-C charging port. This will also give the users the liberty to charge their iPhone with android phone charging cables.
