ITC confirmed that the company is developing a nasal spray for COVID-19. The clinical trials for the spray have also been started. The spray will be placed under the brand Savlon, after it gets the green light by the authorities for use.
The spokesperson of ITC confirmed that the scientists at ITC Life science and Technology Centre (LSTC), Bengaluru, are developing a nasal spray for the prevention of COVID-19. Though further details about the development of the spray are not disclosed.
However, few sources say that the spray will be designed in such a way, that it will prohibit the virus at the entry of the nasal cavity. The company and scientists at ITC LSTC believe that the spray will be effective and will help in the prevention of COVID-19.
