Ford India is in the Process of Releasing a Compensation Package for Employees

Employees Package

A state minister said on Wednesday that Ford India was in the midst of announcing a settlement deal with employees in the aftermath of the US-based automaker’s decision to down its two production plants in the country as part of its ‘restructuring’ effort.

Ford India said earlier this month that it will cease operations in the nation and would exclusively sell foreign automobiles. The firm, which has invested around USD 2.5 billion in its Sanand (Gujrat) and Chennai facilities, would cease selling vehicles like the EcoSport, Figo, and Aspire produced at these plants.

Following a review meeting with more than 50 Ford car parts suppliers from Tiruvallur, Chengalpet, and Chennai on Wednesday, Rural Industries Minister T M Anbarasan stated that the government had got information that Ford was in the process.
