Tata Motors said on June 6 that it had inked an agreement with BluSmart Electric Mobility to deliver 10,000 XPRES-T electric vehicles to the company. The business claims that the agreement, inked on World Environment Day, is the country’s largest-ever EV fleet order.
It is believed that delivery will begin soon. According to the release, the 10,000 units are in addition to the 3,500 XPRES-T EVs that both companies inked in October 2021.
“We’re thrilled to be working with BluSmart Electric again as we roll out 10,000 XPRES-T EVs across the country. As we mobilize the nation to #EvolveToElectric, Tata Motors is constantly working to educate and enhance the adoption of electric mobility in India, and we hope that more people join us in this journey,” said Shailesh Chandra, MD for Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.
BluSmart Electric Mobility Co-Founder Anmol Singh Jaggi remarked that the company’s $50 million Series A funding has “supercharged” the company’s ability to expand across Delhi-NCR and other metros.
