Dedicated CEOs have a clear vision and a fool proof game plan to achieve their goals by overcoming all adversities. They care for their employees’ well-being and treat them as a part of their family. They are gifted with smartness, foresight, and an indomitable will. One such dedicated CEO who is changing the business landscape is Chanie Gluck, the CEO and Founder of 4D Global.

Chanie’s journey as an entrepreneur began 18 years ago, and since then, she has not looked back. She has learned not only how to be a successful CEO, but also a leader respected by her employees and peers.

About 14 years ago, Chanie made her first trip to India. She owned a medical billing company and wanted to conduct some first-hand research of the business process outsourcing companies there that specialized in medical billing. She had searched for information on these entities, but this was before the days of social media, and the primary source of information Chanie had for them was a company website.

It was after that trip that Chanie decided to start 4D Global, an American-owned and managed medical billing company based in India. Her goal was to employ some of the most experienced medical billing talent in all of Chennai and be a place where people wanted to work. Chanie vowed to treat her employees with respect and ensure that everyone would have a voice in the company.

She would achieve this by developing a company culture of positivity, resulting in an enjoyable place to work, and providing opportunities for employee growth and advancement. Chanie would celebrate birthdays, weddings, and holidays, both those of the U.S. and India.

A Motivated Frontrunner

Chanie is inspired by her 4D Global team. They all strive to succeed and grow in their career with the company. She sees much potential in many of the team leaders, even if they don’t see it in themselves, and it brings her a lot of joy to watch them grow and lead.

For Chanie, being a CEO means being responsible and concerned not only for the life and career of one’s employees, but also their family. She takes this responsibility seriously and always tries to put them first while making company decisions.

Combating the Pandemic

Chanie states that just like many other companies, 4D Global also experienced the effects of not being able to work in-office and had to quickly adjust to a remote work situation. Furthermore, they had to perform this transition while maintaining a rigorous standard of high-quality results for the clients.

I’m extremely proud of how the 4D Global team used this opportunity to showcase their leadership skills but even more so that they contributed to their community during the pandemic by distributing food, beverages, and water to those less fortunate,” says Chanie.

A Compassionate Leader

Chanie asserts, “You can feel the energy and positivity of the 4D Global team the minute you walk into our offices”. Under her inspiring leadership, the company is always trying to create a sense of community and friendship that starts at work but hopefully will last a lifetime.

The company’s culture committee plans various events, including Fun Friday activities, and monthly cricket games. “We recently moved to a bigger and more modern office that provides our employees with amenities such as a gym and a large cafeteria,” says Chanie.

About 4D Global

4D Global serves medical billing companies by helping them easily scale and grow their business to increase profitability. The company applies medical billing expertise with its mission to exceed expectations in delivery, performance, and accuracy. It achieves this by performing data entry and revenue cycle management tasks through clear-cut processes, open communication, and high-quality work.

The core values of 4D Global are respect, integrity, teamwork, innovation, growth, and excellence. Its goal is to not only meet but also exceed client expectations and maintain strong business relationships with those clients.

Perceiving Challenges as Opportunities

Chanie has led 4D Global to handle the worldwide challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic exceptionally well. “Because it hit the U.S. before India, we had some time to prepare for it, including a smooth transition to working remotely,” she says. Although many fellow companies had to lay off or dismiss their sales team, 4D Global doubled down and grew its sales team and the business significantly during the pandemic.

Chanie further adds, “There are many challenges we as CEOs face. I view each one as a teachable moment to show employees how we can use each obstacle as an opportunity to learn, grow and improve for the future”.

Inspiring Words

Addressing the young entrepreneurs, Chanie says, “Dare to be brave”. She says that the path to entrepreneurship is a challenging one. It is not for everyone, because it requires a full range of skills, from sales, hiring, operations, finance, marketing and so much more. The key is to be an avid learner and to cultivate skills in each of these areas and beyond.

She opines, “In the startup phase, you’ll have to wear multiple hats and be knowledgeable about each of your company’s core functions. As you grow your business, you’ll be able to afford to build your team by hiring people with experience in these areas”.

Chanie encourages the emerging leaders to be a lifetime learner. She advises them to read, listen to podcasts, and create value for others. “Most importantly, invest in yourself and your personal development, but never forget to take time to enjoy life”, adds Chanie.

Pathway to the Future

Speaking of her upcoming plans, Chanie says that her goal for 4D Global is to continue to grow the business each year while maintaining fiscal health. “I plan to continue to grow along with the company but eventually will hire a CEO to replace my spot”, she adds. Chanie is passionate about giving back to the Chennai community and plans to continue finding charitable causes in India for which she can make a difference.

Chanie further says, “You might be seeing more of me soon! I’m a partner in the upcoming reality television show ‘The Social Movement,’ on which I’ll be tasked with finding a solution to a world problem…in four days”. She is excited to see what ideas the show will generate and if another company or business idea will be created through it.
