French Firm Simaero Announces $100 Million Investment Plan for India

French aviation training company Simaero has come up with a mega $100 million investment program to enhance its operations in the country. The plan has been unveiled by the company’s General Manager of Simaero India in an exclusive interview. 

As Simaero has already begun the long and challenging journey with its first step towards this heavy investment, launching its first simulator in India. The company is going to induct two more simulators by the end of 2024, thereby upholding the commitment towards enhancement in the training infrastructure. Besides the simulators, 70% of R&D in support of pilot training is already accomplished and looks for further enhancement. 

In the next few years, it plans to train between 2,000 and 5,000 pilots. Simaero training programs cover both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft in order to ensure complete services as the demand is increasing to meet skilled pilots in India and all the Asia-Pacific region. 

Simulator engines Simaero is further strengthening its position in the global aviation market by developing advanced simulator engines and constructing a state-of-the-art facility in France. It is expected to become operational in March 2025, which will play a significant role in supporting the efforts of the company in developing more comprehensive training offerings and advanced technologies. 

Simaero’s investment in India fits well with the booming aviation sector of the country, which is growing rapidly in terms of domestic and international air travel. The company has already approached several airlines in India and the larger Asian market, and interest from potential partners has been very high in terms of collaborating on pilot training initiatives.
