Google Meet will impose a 60-minute limit for group video calls after June 30 for free users. Google Meet planned to impose this limit in September 2020 but extended the deadline due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The limit will be imposed for group calls with three or more participants.
One-on-one calls will not be affected because of this restriction. To experience undisturbed video calls, users will have to upgrade to a paid subscription for Google Meet. After 55 minutes of the group call, the participants will receive a notification saying, the call is about to end.
As found by 9to5Google, updated guidelines for Google meet have been mentioned on Google Meet’s help website.
