HDFC posted its net profit of ₹4,454 crores at almost 18% YoY surge in the second quarter that ended in September.
The total revenue of Housing Development Finance Corp Ltd (HDFC NSE -0.42 %) from operations soared by 23%, reaching ₹15,027.20 crores. The company surpassed the market estimates of ₹4,177 crores by registering a phenomenal profit of ₹4,454 crores, respectively.
The company revealed in its release that the net interest margin (NIM) for the period ending 30th September was at 3.4%, while the net interest income (NII) steadily went up to ₹4,639 crores at 13% YoY.
The assets under management (AUM) were ₹5.9 lakh crores in the last year, which rose up to ₹6.9 lakh crores as of 30th September 2022. The individual loans comprised 81%, displaying a growth of 20% in its individual loan book. The mortgage lender loans were ₹7,132 crores in the last year, which increased to a decent figure of ₹9,145 crores at the end of the second quarter.
