HTC released its flagship smartphone HTC 10 for India back this year. The smartphone was launched to give parallel competition to Samsung’s flagship phones in Galaxy lineup and was rated at INR52,990. HTC has now dropped the price of the smartphone by INR5,000 to INR47,990, effective immediately.
While the Taiwanese company informed the price cut is for the festive season, it has not specified if it is a limited period offer- effectively making it a price cut. HTC recently declared that HTC 10 will be the first of company’s smartphones to get Android 7.0 Nougat update.
The HTC 10 is supposed to get the Nougat treatment sometime in the fourth quarter this year. It sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) display and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the smartphone packs a 12-UltraPixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel at the front. The smartphone houses a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
In our review of HTC 10 we came to know that although the smartphone does deliver performance to back its high price tag on some accounts, a similar experience can be experienced by OnePlus 3, which is nearly half its price.
HTC latest launch is new Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone in India, costs INR15,990. The highlight of the smartphone is its “premium design”, featuring a matte finish body and a metallic gold contour.
