On Thursday, India finished 100 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccinations in roughly nine months since the program began.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked physicians, nurses, and all those who contributed to the achievement. “India writes history. We see the victory of Indian science, entrepreneurship, and 130 crore Indians’ collective spirit. Congratulations, India, for reaching the milestone of 100 crore vaccines. Thank you to our physicians, nurses, and everyone else who helped us reach our goal,” he tweeted.
Mr. Modi referred to the feat as a “victory of Indian science, entrepreneurship, and the collective spirit of 130 crore Indians.” “The vaccination has given pride and protection to our folks’ lives,” he said.
The Prime Minister paid a visit to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here, where he spoke with healthcare professionals and patients getting the vaccination.
To commemorate the anniversary, the Union Health Ministry conducted a series of activities. It published a two-minute and four-second film depicting the country’s struggle against COVID-19 through rap and visual depiction.
