ITC unveils projects on food processing and hotels worth INR 800 crore, in Odisha

ITC Limited has unveiled an integrated consumer goods facility and a five star hotel with an investment worth INR 800 crore in Odisha.
The goods manufacturing facility is being built on an area of 700,000 sqft at Khordha district in Odisha that would be completed in 30 months, said ITC in a statement.
ITC’s food brands such as Aashirvaad, Bingo, Sunfeast, YiPPee will be manufactured in the facility. Apart from that, the group under its WelcomHotel brand, is setting up a 110 room five star hotel in Bhubaneswar, said the statement.
“ITC’s investment in the processed food sector in Odisha will add significant value to the state’s agricultural potential,” it added.
Addressing the occassion, Chief Operating Officer, ITC Limited, Sanjiv Puri said, “ITC is making fresh investments in Odisha in two landmark projects.”
ITC’s FMCG businesses has been engaged deeply with farmers in Odisha while supporting livelihoods for over 7 lakh people in the state.
The company has been supporting local entrepreneurs and farmers try new potato varieties by supplying early generation seed potato and providing agronomy support in Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasaur, Puri and Koraput districts.
