NHAI Project worth Rs. 1,546-crore Won by Adani Enterprises

On Wednesday, 11th March 2020, Adani Enterprises Ltd said it has won a Rs. 1,546-crore project from the National Authority of India (NHAI). Under Bharatmala Pariyojana, a stretch of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh is to be built. The project will be carried out through the hybrid annuity mode.

In a regulatory filing to the BSE, Adani said, “The company led consortium has received a letter of award (LOA) from NHAI for… six laning of Vijaywada Bypass from Gollapudi to Chinnakakani including major bridge across river Krishna in Vijayawada Gundugolanu section of NH-16 under Bharatmala Pariyojana on hybrid annuity mode.” A government-sponsored and funded roads and highways project is the Bharatmala Pariyojana.

The bid cost for the project of 17.88 km was Rs. 1546.31 crore, and the company said they will complete the project by 2.5 years.

The company said that it would continue to evaluate and bid attractive opportunities in the transportation sector.

The statement said, “The Group would use its expetise and experience of setting up complex and mammoth infrastructure projects in record time and to world class quality standards and also successfully operating them.”

Under the hybrid annuity mode spanning in the state of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the Adani Group will have total of four NHAI road projects including this one.
