PM Modi will fetch new opportunities ‘Startup India, Standup India’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during Independence Day speech this year, ‘Startup India Standup India’, a new initiative that government’s new year gift to “young people” who want to set up new businesses or innovative projects.
The Prime Minister said, in his Mann ki Baat program on All India Radio, The government will formally launch the initiative an event that will see the participation of all major higher educational institutions through online connectivity.
As per accordance of prime Minister Modi, “I had made an initial mention of ‘Startup India Standup India’ after that it has been discussed in all government departments. Can India become the startup capital of the world? the government will launch the full action-plan of ‘Startup India Stand Up India.’ I will come before you to discuss this in detail and would welcome your suggestions. I would request the state governments as well to take this forward.”
The initiative was not just about the IT or digital world, but an effort to assist people starting new business ventures, especially those that involved innovation, also he said that ‘Startup India, Standup India’ campaign has brought new opportunities for the youth.
PM Modi says, “I want this especially for our rural women, who have shown marvellous success in enterprise, whenever they have had opportunity. They transform not only our rural economy, but also our society.” The farmers can reach out to the Prime Minister directly to address their grievances, unemployment can be addressed through this app. He said that “If there is a disturbing situation, like a riot, or incidents of intolerance, one can seek the my help directly.” Through live connectivity ‘Startup India, Stand up India’ programme will connect bright minds from IT in all colleges. He added, “Youth all over India have the talent and the capability to propel India’s growth.”
At the Startup Connect programme in Silicon Valley, he said, “The startup ecosystem was developing rapidly, fueled by the great energy and innovation of India’s youth and also he wanted startups to embrace the rural India as much as the Urban India.”
Several startup festivals have been held abroad, notably during PM Modi’s recent visit to California. This programme will be connected to IITs, IIMs, Central universities and NITs. Wherever there are youth, they will be linked through live connectivity.
