Tork Motors launches Premium Electric Bike T6X priced at Rs 1.25 lakh

Tork Motors Ltd, leading Indian motorcycle maker on Friday unveiled its premium electric bike T6X.
Pune-based Tork said in a statement, “T6X has been developed ground up as a future of mobility for the smart modern urban commuter.”
The rugged bike was designed and built over seven years of indigenous research and development and now it will be rolled out for testing and reviews by year-end.
Tork Founder and Director Kapil Shelke said, “Powered by lithium batteries, the 130kg bike is engineered to ride at 100 kmph top speed and up to 100km on a single charge.”
The two-wheeler’s battery can be charged up to 80 percent as fast as in one hour and can be fully charged in two hours. The battery life can last up to 80,000-1,00,000km, depending upon the usage.
The bike is to be introduced in Bengaluru, Delhi and Pune markets in the first phase, and can be pre-booked at INR 124,999 excluding taxes and levies.
It is handcrafted with custom-designed components, the two-wheeler features to boast on-board navigation, digital display, quick charge, storage, cloud connectivity, and superior acceleration.
The bike will have the safety features like ABS, anti-theft, Geo-fencing, CDs, and daytime running lamp, said the statement along with TIROS (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System) which will teach users how to ride.
National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020 is aimed to put seven million electric and hybrid vehicles on roads by 2020, said Shelke.
In addition, the Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles scheme and Faster Adoption and will provide Rs.795 crore aid to electronic vehicle markets by 2020.
