Xiaomi’s new battery technology claims that it will increase the battery backup of its smartphones by 100 minutes. Xiaomi has confirmed that it is working on the new battery technology, and it is projected to be used in those smartphones as early as next year. This new technology is set to use silicon content in the battery about three times, which will ensure more capacity storage efficiency.
The additional power will increase the battery of the phone by 10 per cent mAh in the same pack. Along with that, the smartphone will be able to provide 100 minutes of additional runtime in a single charge.
The new technology will be relying on advanced algorithms, which will monitor overnight charging to improve the safety and lifespan of the battery. As the batteries will be equipped with a fuel gauge chip, it will reduce the harm caused to the battery in overcharged state.
