Apollo LogiSolutions (ALS) signed a memorandum with Singamas, a subsidiary of Pacific International Lines (Pte) (PIL) to jointly trail cold chain logistics in India through a Joint Venture Company (JVCo). This MoU mainly aims to provide the cold chain logistics solutions to the temperature controlled warehouses, inventory spaces and temperature controlled distribution and transportation services.
Last year, two MoUs were signed between ALS and PIL Group of companies. The first MoU between ALS and PIL facilitated mutual cooperation in the field of container freight stations (CFS) and allied services. While the second MoU signed between ALS and Singamas was to jointly trail the transportation of specialized liquids in India. This third MoU for cold chain logistics further highlights the long-term relationship between both the groups.
Putting some light upon the partnership with PIL and Singamas, Raaja Kanwar, Managing Director, ALS, said, “ALS is one of the few organised logistics players in India which assures quality and service delivery to its partners. Our strengths are our recognisable brand name associated with a vast footprint world over. Joining hands with PIL & Singamas will ensure that we bring a value proposition to our customers like none other.”
On the MoU signing occasion, Teo Siong Seng, Managing Director, PIL, added, “Tying up with ALS, a comprehensive logistics solutions provider, can enhance our interests in an ever growing market with an untapped potential like India. We share a similar outlook and business ethos with ALS. This partnership will help us to diversify and build on our core business of shipping lines and other allied logistics services.”
