The much-hyped cryptocurrency bill, which many believed to be introduced in the ongoing parliament session, may not be presented for discussion in the parliament. The cryptocurrency bill was expected to bring new regulations for the Indian crypto market. The Government of India in the beginning managed to convince that the bill will be introduced in parliament in this session.

The advertisements and cryptos dominating the global markets ignited the hope that the bill might pass in the parliament rather than just introduction. However, as per the latest reports from the sources, the crypto bill hasn’t been finalised yet.

The draft of the crypto bill needs to get the approval of the cabinet before its presentation in the parliament for discussion. The ongoing winter session of the parliament has been held short amid protests from the opposition. Though the Finance Minister of India has assured the Indian crypto ecosystem, but this delay might ask the Indians to wait for another few months.
