IS: Enlighten us with the foundation story of the company and also the brief details of the company.
Global Tree was set up by first generation entrepreneurs Mr. Subhakar Alapati and Mr. Srikar Alapati in 2006, with a view to enable aspiring professionals to achieve their goal of career and life enhancement through traveling overseas and living in a new country. Global Tree has its corporate office at Hyderabad and has a very strong network throughout AP. The Company has played a pivotal role in thousands of successful visa applications to countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, South Africa and others. Global Tree has established itself as a pan India entity, with branches in all the major metropolitan cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. Apart from these locations, Global Tree has also penetrated into Tier-2 cities such as Chandigarh, Vijayawada and Vizag. With a presence in 10 cities, and multiple branches across India, Global Tree is never too far away for anyone who is looking to work, study, and settle abroad.
IS: Brief us about the Founder/CEO of the company and the major contribution of him/her towards the company.
Mr. Subhakar Alapati, one of the co-founders and Director of Global Tree, is an experienced overseas specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the immigration space and has authored various insightful articles in leading publications, both nationally and internationally. He is seen as an authority in the industry, and articles written by him, are published regularly in multiple newspapers and media channels such as the Forbes, the Hindu, Times of India and Eenadu. He has also been invited on various channels to share his insights on current events related to immigration.
Mr. Alapati has been recognized as one of the leading Entrepreneurs of India, and has held the distinction of being the President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association in Hyderabad. In spite of his busy schedule, he takes a personal interest in his student clients and has guided many of them to achieve their goal of studying in an Ivy League or equivalent university. His hard work and dedication coupled with his insight and strategy have shaped Global Tree to be the juggernaut that it is today.
Mr. Srikar Alapati, one of the co-founders and MD of the company, has a track record of leading the conversations in the immigrant and non-immigrant visa space for more than a decade. A prolific speaker, he has shared his insights on the nuances and processes of immigration and recruitment abroad through various public speaking events and webinars that were conducted for the benefit of aspirants. He is also the drive behind the successful and smooth operation of day to day business activities at both the corporate and branch offices, which are spread across India.
IS: Please share with us the initial challenges that strengthen the current success of the brand.
Penetrating into the immigration market, with a new approach of providing as a one stop shop for meeting the needs of anyone who has a vision of going abroad has helped Global Tree achieve success and has helped to build trust in the brand. The company has in a short time built a strong team of professionals and has fostered partnerships and connections with immigration experts across the globe. Initially the number of consultants that were available for handling the clients was limited; the consultants however, under the guidance of the MD and CEO, were enthusiastic in their assistance and took a personal interest in each and every case. The company has now moved on to build a pan-India presence with more than 500 hundred employees across multiple branches. However, the practice of taking a personal interest in the client’s requirements has continued to this date and has been instrumental in Global Tree, achieving the reputation of being India’s most trusted brand in the immigration space

IS: What have been big developments for the company in India over the last six months?
Global Tree has opened a number of branches in tier -2 cities, thus cementing its reputation as a pan-India brand. It has launched initiatives to improve client experience and make the process smoother for high net worth clients who are interested in immigrating on a priority visa such as EB-5 for USA. Global Tree has also launched a specialized assistance program for clients who are interested in opting for provincial nomination for immigration to Canada, through the Express Entry program.

IS: How will you describe your company in one word?

IS: What is the current industry scenario from your perspective?
The immigration market is expected to continue to grow in a steady manner, with a lot of countries now recognizing the skilled expertise of Indian workers. Indians are earning the reputation abroad of being highly dedicated and skilled in their area of expertise, and as such are seeing increased opportunities for immigration. If we look at the scenario for a few of the major sources of immigration from India, we will see that there will be an increased demand for Indian professionals/workers in the near and not so near future
Canada has strong economic growth and low taxes with a top quality of life, thus providing a great backdrop for the success of individuals, families and globally engaged companies. Indians immigrate to Canada and find employment, better life, government benefits, services and facilities, while contributing to the workforce, combating the skill shortage, paying taxes, and playing a crucial part in Canadian economy.
UK will be a major source for immigration opportunities in the post – Brexit scenario, with European Union being separated from UK, the free-flow of labor will stop, leading to a higher demand for both skilled and unskilled workers from other countries including India. Brexit will also level the playing field for immigration to UK as citizens of European Union will not be accorded any privileges.
USA, will see a softer stance towards immigration and will move away from its hard line policies, that were the hallmark of President Trump’ first year of administration. As the Democratic Party, which advocates a more open immigration policy, now holds the majority in the House of Representatives, after the latest mid-term elections, held in November 2018
Australia will see a mix of immigration policies that will be aimed at ensuring that job protection in key industries is assured for citizens, while at the same time, putting in policies that will attract more skilled and unskilled immigrants to sectors, which are facing a serious labor shortage. The newly elected government is also expected to introduce initiatives that will attract more immigrants into the regional and rural sectors of the country, thus bringing in a more balanced population and economic growth.
IS: Advice for the budding entrepreneurs who are trying to embark in the same field.
Sincerity in all our dealings and understanding client expectations has been the bulwark of our growth and success. We would advise being grounded and in touch with the needs of each and every client, even when the company grows in stature as the only way to sustain success. We as a company are constantly in touch with our customer expectations are continuously evolving based on their feedback.
