Suresh G. Bharwani, Chairman and Managing Director of JetKing is a visionary in his own rights. He has successfully transformed an old-fashioned brick and mortar company into a dynamic, result oriented and zero debt IT education monolith. He did this by empowering his team and being hands-on with the entire chain of operations.
His urge for learning is unstoppable. He has been trained by world-class trainers like Bob Pike, Tom Peters, Ken Blanchard, Edward De Bono and of course Dr. Jaydev of “The Yoga Institute”, Santacruz. While he was training himself, he also endeavored to transfer whatever he received to his employees and peers. Thus, a trainer and mentor was born from a successful entrepreneur.
Suresh’s Smartlab Plus methodology is a synthesis of such efforts and has been bringing rich dividends to Jetking as well as the 7-lakh students all over the country in the past 30 years. The Journey towards Success
The Late Shri Gordhandas P. Bharwani and his brothers established Jetking in 1947. They started trading in big Radios, Gramophones & Valve Radios, which were in vogue post-war. After the Partition brought them to Mumbai from Pakistan, Jetking was founded as a portable radio-manufacturing factory in a suburb of India’s commercial capital Mumbai. Jetking pioneered the runaway success Do-It-Yourself kits and Pocket Transistors to become India’s leading manufacturer and seller of radios.
In 1970s, they tried to venture into TV manufacturing but that didn’t take off. However, it did not deter them. Taking over the business, Suresh made a jump-start yet again in the field of electronics, as computers became the next big thing. He pioneered the Computer Hardware and Networking training in India and in 1990, after incorporating Jetking Infotrain Limited, the Company launched its first institute for the training of non-technical students by the name of Jetking School of Electronic Technology. Thereafter, Jetking has become synonymous with computer hardware and networking training with its footprint all over the country and overseas.
Continuing the tradition of 68 years, Jetking is still constantly reinventing and reenergizing themselves to provide Digital India the frontline soldiers through their franchise network of training centres. They have been bestowed with multiple awards and recognitions by esteemed industry bodies and associations such as ASSOCHAM, FICCI and Governments of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
