Lok Sabha 2024 Elections Reflected NDA Winning on 293 Seats, BJP Gets 240, INDIA Bloc Claiming Noticeable Rise with 233 Seats

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janata Dal (United) have made the decision to run for the position of Speaker of the Lok Sabha, despite the fact that the BJP depends on partners.

With 293 victories as the Lok Sabha elections came to an end, the NDA appeared destined for a third term. With 240 victories, the BJP fell short of a majority, suggesting that Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar would be the ones to support Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janata Dal (United) have made the decision to run for the position of Speaker of the Lok Sabha, despite the fact that the BJP depends on partners.

The INDIA bloc narrative is just as important to the 2024 Verdict. In defiance of all expectations, the opposition mounted a strong campaign and won 233 seats. With 99 seats, the Congress party nearly doubled its 2019 total. Leading candidate of the party, Rahul Gandhi, secured resounding victories in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, and Wayanad, Kerala, each by a margin above three lakh votes. At a Tuesday night press conference, Rahul Gandhi declared, “This was a fight to save the country’s Constitution and has emerged victorious in it.”

Rahul Gandhi remarked at a press conference, “The nation has stated that they do not want Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to lead the country. The Samajwadi Party led the power struggle inside the INDIA bloc, unseating the BJP to secure the most seats (37), Uttar Pradesh.

A few months before the elections, the Ram Mandir was dedicated in Faizabad, and the BJP’s defeat there is perceived as an ideological setback for the party.There are undercurrents of land acquisition, inflation, unemployment, and talk of “changes in the Constitution” that contribute to the defeat.
