MIDAS – Creating Entrepreneurs in 11 months through “STUDENT TO FOUNDER” Programme

Life of an entrepreneur is anything but easy, at MIDAS the journey of starting your own venture or joining your family-owned business is curated through an 11 month PGDM in the Entrepreneurship programme. It is their belief that “Entrepreneurs are Made, not Born,” and they deliver on this promise through the “Student To Founder” journey which begins with identifying the right idea, right up-to launching it in the market.
The third edition of MIDAS BAZAAR, the annual flagship event, was held at MIDAS Campus in Pune on 1st June 2019, in an exhibition format. The Guest of Honor, Mr. Abhijit Pawar a well-known media professional inaugurated the event, this event was graced by a speech from the Chief Mentor, Prof Parag Shah where he shared how this unique programme has actually translated the student’s ideas into business ventures. The course began with idea generation where through a combination of various experiential learning modules that unlocked the student’s creative potential, the batch managed to generate a whopping 2681 unique business ideas, after mapping the right idea to the right student through a scientific method, the students were then sent to market to validate the idea for its viability. Post that, in the incubation centre the idea was given shape to convert it into a business and now they have reached a stage where they are ready to take it to the market & MIDAS BAZAAR is the first platform where they can showcase their ideas to the world!
MIDAS Bazaar hosted 17 different businesses, presented by their students, with categories mostly focusing on B2C industries, E-Commerce, Urban Farming, FMCG, Construction Material, Health and Sanitation, Logistics, Fashion, Footwear, and more. This yearly initiative of launching businesses with websites, apps and brand videos attracts prospective customers, & attract business investors & brand partners.
The evening was lit by awards distribution to the most innovative business ideas by a jury of investors. The winners for startup category were Akanksha Ladkat & Sachin Jain from Pune and Chennai respectively. Ayush & Vishakha Rathi of Raipur were the winners in the family business category. It was a proud moment for parents and families of these students, as new businesses and successors were launched.
MIDAS has a second in-line offering called Business Coaching for established entrepreneurs that are looking to grow their businesses and overcome challenges in marketing, sales, operations, team management and more.
