Growth factor concentrate or GFC is a highly concentrated growth factor preparation engineered from person’s own blood for superior results in hair loss and facial rejuvenation treatment.

Various growth factors are stored in platelets (type of cells in our blood). Wockhardt’s scientists have been able to extract these growth factors from person’s own blood in high concentration as a GFC in specially designed Kits. This GFC is injected into the scalp & skin (face and neck), thus, delivering person’s own growth factors at high concentration right in the layers of skin. This results in stimulation of regeneration and repair.

GFC therapy for hair loss

Alopecia or Hair Loss is common with increasing age can affect both men and women. Many factors contribute to this including hormonal imbalance, stress, nutritional deficiency, genetic conditions etc.

The current standard of treatment consists of oral or topical medications. Medication is required for an indefinite period, and effectiveness is limited by patient adherence and frequent side effects. Surgeries such as hair transplantation are generally reserved for refractory patients. Due to the varying efficacy and safety profiles of the present treatment modalities, there remains the need for additional treatments promoting hair regrowth.

This innovative GFC is injected into the scalp, thus, delivering person’s own growth factors (e.g. platelet-derived growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor, insulin-like growth factor 1, Epidermal growth factor etc.) at high concentration right at the hair root stimulating hair regrowth. It is highly safe as prepared from Patient’s own blood without any contamination. To prepare GFC for hair loss treatment about 16 ml of person’s own blood is required and it takes about 40 minutes for preparation to get about 7-8 ml of final ready to inject GFC output. Any candidate in their early or late stage of Alopecia as judged by the treating doctor is a fit candidate for GFC therapy and is equally effective in both males and females.

After three sessions of GFC therapy effects are seen in terms of

  • Reduced hair fall
  • Improved hair thickness
  • Increased in hair volume

GFC therapy for facial rejuvenation

With age, the natural and biological processes of the body cause changes on the surface of the skin in the form of ageing issues like wrinkles, folds, fine lines, laugh lines, sagging skin, creepy skin. Skin loses its strength to protect itself from damage as it becomes thin and loses its elasticity and volume. This results from a combination of a gradual decline in skin function over time and cumulative damage caused by factors like pollution, sun exposure, smoking and high-Stress Levels etc. With advancement of science and technology, there are few measures which allow us to reverse or reduce the signs of an ageing face. This may lead to immense psychological benefits enhancing the personal image and social interaction skills.

The GFC therapy is the latest measure, which utilizes the body’s inherent natural powers for biological skin rejuvenation. GFC provides various growth factors (TGF β, VEGF, EGF, FGF, and PDGF) in high concentration which are extracted from person’s own blood. Which stimulate dermis (skin layer) & subsequently its regeneration and repair.

Any candidate who wishes to have rejuvenated face is a best candidate. GFC therapy is equally effective in both male & females. GFC therapy can be also ideal for the person who does not want any synthetic filler or any other synthetic chemicals/toxins.  GFC therapy can be used to enhance Laser procedures and along with derma rollers too for faster and improved healing.

After three sessions of GFC therapy effects are seen in terms of

  • Rapid, efficient, and thorough restoration of skin to a healthy state by enhancing the body’s natural healing capacity
  • Improved quality and texture of skin
  • Overall tightened and youthful skin

Directions for use of GFC therapy:

Three sessions of GFC therapy one month apart are recommended. Usually, one session can be repeated after 4-6 months & thereafter therapy can be repeated every year.

Advantages of GFC therapy:

  • Latest Non-surgical
  • Safe as prepared from person’s own blood
  • Sterile, no chances of infection
  • High concentration of growth factors for optimum results
  • Pure GFC & without any unwanted cells, gives less pain

Possible side effects of GFC therapy:

Since GFC is pure and does not contain any RBCs or WBCs (unwanted cells), risk of pain and inflammation due to GFC itself is minimal. The reactions are generally injection related and have a mild to moderate impact. These usually resolve in 7 days or less.
