GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida organised “Sankalp2K18”- An Inter Institute Annual Cultural Fest on December 01, 2018, Saturday, upholding the pomp and glamour of the festival season. The fest presented motley of events to be experienced and enjoyed by the student community. Sankalp 2K18, a convergence of Dance, Drama, Art, Music & Fashion was organized under the pioneering leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR to celebrate the Spirit of Cultural Diversity of India.  The Chief Guests of the event were Mr. Sayeed Ansari, Deputy Editor and Anchor, Aajtak, winner of Best Anchor Award 2017 and Renowned Singer- Mohit ChopraIndian Idol Season 9 Fame, a splendid vocalist who has won the hearts of audience with his melodious voice. He is also conferred with prestigious Delhi Ratan Award. Mr. Gopi Krishan Bali, National Head, Corporate Social Responsibility Division, Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd graced the mega event as the Key Note Speaker, while other eminent Guests of Honour for the event were Ms. Kavita Dwibedi, Founder of Odissi Academy, Delhi, Mr. Rohit Gandotra, Business Manager-America Operation, Cygnet Infotech LLC, MrAmit Dubey, National Security Expert and Crime Investigator & Deputy CTO, Tech Mahindra, Ms. Rosemary Higgins, American Center, New Delhi, Mr. Avinash Chand Agarwal, National Award Winner (photography) and Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Executive Director-Group HRM, Minda Industries Ltd.
Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman welcomed the Chief Guest & other dignitaries and congratulated the Students, Faculty & Staff for organizing a huge and wonderful event. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General warmly welcomed the guests and extended gratitude for their august presence. She highlighted that the mega event is organized to provide a prominent platform to the students from across the country to portray their creativity, talent and enthusiasm.
This year the highlight of the event was Thrilling ‘Live Musical’ performance by leading band – Musicophiles. This one-day extravaganza of art and culture witnessed participation of more than 500 students from 50 Institutes across Delhi NCR participated in the events encompassing Alaap (Duet Singing & Group Singing), Dazzling Doubles (Duet Dance), Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (Group Dance), Andaaz Apna Apna (Skit/Play/Nukkad Natak), Andaaz-e-Libaaz    (The Fashion Show), Junk Yard (Art from waste), Rang Rezz (Rangoli making), Splash   (T-shirt Painting/ Face Painting) & Director’s Cut (Short Film Making). Cash prizes of more than Rs. 1 Lakh were awarded to the participants for the best performances on the stage; mementos, certificates and gift vouchers from our corporate sponsors like Anmol Industries, Safexpress, Freshen & Worlds of Wonder were also awarded.
The young performers enthralled the audience by their captivating and scintillating performances in various on-stage and off-stage activities. The audience watching the performances could barely contain their amazement. It was indeed a platform for interaction and amalgamation of budding talent and knack.
