Share Markt : Sensex tops on an off day

Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading volatile on Wednesday. The 30-share index Sensex trading near 38,840, while the broader Nifty 50 index breached the crucial 11,500 on the downside, and was ruling around 11,480. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 scrips were trading in the green.

Bajaj Auto was the top Sensex gainer, up 3 per cent, followed by Power Grid Corporation of India, Bajaj Finserv, M&M, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bankand Bajaj Finance. On the flip side, Bharti Airtel was the top Sensex laggard. Asian Paints, HCL Tech, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries (RIL), TCS and State Bank of India were among other losers on the index. The trend among sectoral indices was positive. The Nifty Auto index was top sectoral gainer, up 1.59 per cent led by gains in TVS Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and M&M.

“Global rating agency Moody’s on Tuesday retained its earlier India growth forecast at -3.1% for FY21 and 6.9% for FY22, lending some credence to the view that the economy could witness a “V-shaped recovery” next fiscal. China, India and Indonesia will be the only G-20 emerging economies to witness a strong enough pickup of real GDP in the second half of 2020 and full-year 2021 to end next year above pre-coronavirus levels.” (Source : Financial Express)
