Suzlon Energy Acquires 52.50 MW maiden Order from Oil India

One of the leading renewable energy solutions providers in the world, Suzlon Group, declared its maiden order win from Oil India Ltd (OIL) for 52.50 MW project capacity. The order consists of Suzlon’s latest product offerings, the S11190m tubular tower and S97120m Hybrid Tower with a graded capacity of 2.1MW each. The project is capable of giving power to over 28,000 households and offsetting 0.11million tones of CO2 emissions per annum.
Suzlon will offer a robust range of services and dedicated life cycle asset management services for a starting period of 10 years. The projects will be based at two sites, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat: The projects are planned to be completed by June 2017.
Oil India Limited (OIL) is the second biggest hydrocarbon exploration and production Indian public sector firm in India under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. OIL made into the renewable energy space in the year 2015.

The innovative S9X series product portfolio is specially made to optimally harness the available wind resources and deliver higher energy and return on investment (ROI) to the customers. The S97 2.1MW wind turbine generator (WTG) features the time tested Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology which is specially made to maximize generation and unlock low wind sites.
The S97 120m is one of the highest all-steel hybrid towers (120 meter height) across the world and amalgamates both lattice and tubular structures. It has attained a plant load factor (PLF) of 35% over the first 12 months of operation. The S11190m attributes a rotor diameter of 111.8 meters with a clean area of more than 9500 square meters, forming it one of the highest yielding wind turbines in its class. The S11190m prototype was successfully commissioned in Tamil Nadu.
