In an interview with Insights Success, Kiran Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Xencia Technology Solutions Pvt. - Please tell us about your Company. What are the different types of Cloud Computing solutions/services/products that your company offers?
“Xencia”, meaning La excelencia in Spanish, was born in 2010 to steer our goal of providing right solutions to customers. Our dreams eventually became the vision of Xencia. We started as IT Services company providing solutions to customers across the globe. To be a successful company in IT, it is very important to adapt to the latest trends. That’s when we decided to rebrand Xencia as a cloud focused company.
Xencia is a Microsoft Gold partnership for Cloud services. Today, Xencia is one of the most preferred Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers for Microsoft Azure services. Xencia’s key focus areas include Microsoft Azure, SharePoint and Office 365. Xencia provides end-to-end solutions on Microsoft Azure platform covering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Migration services (Data center Migration and migration from other cloud platform), Analytics & Data services and Backup, Archival & Disaster Recovery.
- Please tell us about yourself and your journey.
I am the co-founder and CEO of the company. I have gathered multi-decades of technical experience and have a strong fervor to succeed. I have worked in large global companies before starting Xencia. I quickly adapted to the varying trends in technology. I realized that Cloud services have tremendous potential and how Xencia can boost business operations, reduce capital expenditure and help in an impressive ROI for organizations across various domains. This embarked Xencia’s journey in Cloud platform last year.
- What is your take on the current scenario of ‘Cloud Computing Industry’? What steps are you taking to make it better?
Organizations have started seeing enormous benefits of Cloud Computing and that is driving the growth in the industry. In the last few years, IT cloud spending has been increasing and will continue to increase through 2020. However, the biggest challenge that the industry is facing today is to identify the right Solutions & Cloud Services. New services are being added to Cloud every day. It is possible to give right solution only by experts who follow the industry trends closely. At Xencia, we come with multi years of experience in delivering IT solutions to Customers across globe. This enables us to understand customer needs precisely and give them the right solution in Cloud Platform. Post implementation, our customer services team engages with customers on a frequent basis and keep them informed about new services launched in Cloud platform. - What were the problems you faced at an initial stage and how did you overcome them?
The initial challenges included convincing customers to move to cloud as they were always anxious about the data security, availability of service, etc. We address customer concerns by giving them various case studies. We also help them doing a no-cost proof of concept before taking the final decision.
- Kindly share your views on the future of ‘Cloud Computing Solution Industry’. Tell us something about your upcoming products/services/plans.
Companies recognize the benefit of the cloud, and investment is expected to soar over the next few years with the majority organizations implementing some type of cloud computing strategy within their business. Research predicts that in 2018 at least half of IT spending is cloud-based and that by 2020 roughly 60-70% of all software, services and technology will be cloud based. With cloud computing accelerating in popularity, Xencia is gearing up to provide services on all trending areas of Cloud that include Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Blockchain.
- What is your advice to the young entrepreneurs in the Cloud Computing industry?
We are living in the world of Cloud. There was a time when launching a startup required serious capital. Thanks to cloud computing, the initial investment costs virtually pennies. This gives plenty of opportunities for young entrepreneurs to tap in. However, to be successful it is very critical that they play to their strength and offer unique product or services that improve the life of individual or increase the efficiency of business.
