Amazon can now track your sleep with radar

Federal Communication Commission (FCC)has granted permission to Amazon to create a device that monitors people’s sleep. The device will track how we toss and turn at night using radar sensors that will operate at a higher power level than currently allowed.

“Plans to use the radar’s capability of capturing motion in a three-dimensional space to enable contactless sleep tracing functionalities,” stated FCC in a statement.

Amazon will reap some benefits from this deal by getting one step closer to offering all services as their rival Apple and Google, both of whom are widespread in the health monitoring world.
