Expansion Plans
The company is also embarking upon a huge expansion plan of existing product line and introduction of new products which will complement its existing product range of polymer additives.

Recent Product Launches
The company has recently introduced a new product called HIGRENTM OBA (Oxo-biodegradable additives). Oxo-biodegradable additives accelerate the biodegradation of plastics relatively quickly in different disposal conditions.

HIGRENTM OBA is a degradability-promoting plastic additive comprising a proprietary blend of pro-oxidant, stabilizers and filler in a Polyethylene (PE) carrier. The products can be easily incorporated to make translucent and opaque flexible products out of PE/ PP/PS. When HIGRENTM OBA is incorporated during the processing of plastics (Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polystyrene), it renders the plastic bio-degradable in a span of 1-3 years depending upon the dosage.

Through the introduction of this product, HPL aims to tackle the issue of plastic waste management – the main cause of plastic pollution in our environment. HPL aims to educate people on how plastics can be effectively used without harming the environment and exploiting the natural resources of the country. Plastics cannot be completely replaced as some of the alternatives to plastics such as Steel, Paper, Glass, Wood and Other Metal industries cause grater damage to environment by putting excessive strain on natural resources and energy. The organization has carried out many campaigns to take this point to packaging firms, end consumers as well as Government agencies.

Launching Soon
The organization is in the process of finalizing the plans for launching its new offering –Antioxidants One Pack formulation – early next year – as a move towards forward integration to cater towards India and Middle East markets. HPL’s new one pack plant with the capacity of 500 MT/annum to produce one pack of various antioxidants & other component; to cater to the growing needs of Polymer Producers in India and Middle East.

Futuristic Approach
The management envisions HPL Additives to be one of the top five manufacturers of polymer additives in the world. The organization’s focus is on expansions new plant facilities and up scaling its existing capacities is bound to take HPL to even greater heights.
