DKM Rao, Founder and Director and P C Jain, Director-Operations, are leaders who, with their broad range of experience, strive to uplift the industry landscape through their ICONS venture.
DKM Rao, A Mechanical Engineer with 30 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management, Mr. Rao has managed international projects in various capacities as Engineering Manager, Project Manager and Construction Manager. Mr. Rao’s area of expertise includes FEED and EPC Phase of Mega Projects and Technical Services in Operating Plants. . This diverse range of experience and a passion for delivering exceptional engineering services encouraged him to venture as an entrepreneur. With trust and delegation as the main ingredients of his leadership style, Mr. Rao always puts a Professional approach and stakeholders’ satisfaction as his priority.
Mr. Jain has a Masters Degree in Thermal Engineering and 40+ years of experience working with public and private companies. He has worked with PDIL, NFCL, MCF, Tata Chemicals, and Tata projects before becoming an entrepreneur himself. From concept to commissioning, he has handled several projects and is well known in the industry as a project management professional. Driven by a desire to be amongst young engineers, Mr. Jain is ambitious to mentor the young minds in their efforts.
The senior members of ICONS team are industry professionals with 30 to 40 year of experience in managing large size projects and plant operations both in India and abroad. Mr G. Kameswara Rao, Mr SG Kare, Mr Nagabhushanam, Mr Iqbal, Mr Anil Mahajan, Mr Ajay Bakde and Mr Sunil Kulkarni are such functional experts supporting the cause of the Company. They have passion to share their knowledge and experience and treat ICONS as their own company. With their presence our young team feels that they are still in university getting undivided attention of people who are authority in their functions.

After its inception, ICONS had to tackle a lot of challenges to get the business as a startup when the existing engineering businesses usually looked at the types of services provided by an individual or company as a whole. Started with two engineers, the company has grown to 50+ professionals. Today, the company comprises a formidable team of senior consultants who are committed to ICONS excellence and act as its pillars of strength.
Another breakthrough for the company was getting a sizable assignment from HITACHI-Japan followed by Detailed Engineering services for many other clients. Its another major achievement was to bag order in 2018 for PMC Services for a grassroots ammonia project in India. ICONS success was multiplied while awarded long-term Engineering services contracts from the Middle East, followed by many other assignments from Russian and Indian based companies.
