The Visionaries behind Strudcom
After passing out from IIT Bombay in 1979 and gaining valuable experience at Tata Consulting Engineers, Mumbai, Er. Jayant V Inamdar, Managing Director, created Strudcom Consultants. His vision was to develop an organization that provides its services for the development of a well-built structure.
Today Mr. Inamdar is one of the most admired and respected structural engineers not only in India but across the globe. His passion and dedication towards his profession have led to him being elected as president of AESA (Architects, Engineers & Surveyors Association), Pune 1999-2000, Secretary Panel for BAI (Builders Association of India) Pune Center Award in 2006 and AESA Award in 2004-2005. Mr. Inamdar has also been Chairman of Indian Society of Structural Engineers (ISSE) – Pune Chapter.
Apart from being an exceptional engineer and leader, Mr. Inamdar is also a teacher. He frequently visits various architectural colleges to lecture on some of the important topics in the Architect industry. His excellent teaching abilities led him to win IIA (Indian Institute of Architects) Best Teacher Award in 2003-2004.
However, Mr. Jayant Inamdar is not alone. In his endeavor, Er. Nikhil Inamdar, Director has also played a significant role in the success of Strudcom. Since Nikhil’s joining in 2011, the consultancy has witnessed exponential growth. Today, Nikhil is at the helm of this multifaceted organization.
Armed with a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, USA, he is also a Gold Medalist in B. Tech (Bachelor of Technology) from the College of Engineering, Pune. The leadership qualities in him emerged only during his student days. He has been the event Head – Mindspark’08, a national Technical event of College of Engineering, Pune, and the Technical Head – CESA’09, a Civil Engineering Students Association event.
Overcoming the Hurdles
The road to becoming one of the finest consultancies hasn’t been easy for Strudcom. It is only through Er. Jayant Inamdar optimistic and vigorous spirits that the organization has been able to achieve its heights of success.
Mr. Inamdar started his practice as an independent structural consultant in 1983 in a small apartment at Prabhat Road, Pune. Nearly a year after Strudcom’s establishment, he got the opportunity to showcase his talent with Masulkar Colony, Pimpri-Chinchwad. Gradually, through his sincerity, dedication and work standards, Mr. Inamdar went from building one building to ten.
After accomplishing a series of projects with remarkable caliber, Mr. Inamdar established and extended his dimensions in and around Pune. Over the years, Mr. Inamdar, through his firm, has been successfully executing projects such as Residential Buildings, Townships, IT Parks, Factories, and many more across India.
