India’s Covid Active Cases at Lowest in Over Six Months

The daily tally of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in India fell majorly on Tuesday, as 26,115 more persons tested positive for the viral ailment, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) dashboard. According to the statistics, the countrywide infection tally has risen to 33,504,534 due to the inclusion of additional patients.

The total number of active patients in the country has decreased by 8606 to 309,575. The health ministry highlighted in a statement that active cases account for 0.92 percent of the total caseload, the lowest proportion of active cases to the overall tally since March 2020. It also stated that they are at their lowest point in almost 6 months, or 184 days.
