Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of India’s finest cricketing heroes, announced his retirement from International Cricket career on Saturday, 15th August. Almost 16-year old golden run has been brought to an end by his decision to retire. His rise from being a young captain to being one of the sharpest cricketing minds has been a fascination story in Indian Cricket.
In December 2014, MSD retired from test cricket. There were numerous speculations as to when this explosive keeper-batsman combo will be retiring from international cricket. Earlier this year, the former captain had taken a break cricket after the ICC ODI World Cup.
Dhoni joined his Indian Army regiment for a short time. He also wasn’t available for the limited over series against West Indies.
Dhoni announced his retirement through an Instagram post that stated, “Thanks a lot for your love and support throughout. From 19:29 hours consider me as retired.
