If you have ever gone job-hunting, you know how tedious it is. Scouring through job portals, registering on multiple platforms, shortlisting those you deem fit, cutting down on the ones you think are the best option, the application process, the wait to hear from recruiter and more. Many think of it as a job in itself. And yet, once the process is over and you land that job you thought was perfect, sometimes, you feel this is not what you signed up for.

Coming from an IT background in academics, Ishan Shah found himself in a similar situation. He found himself queuing up for multiple job interviews, after the completion of his studies. The initial experience was good and he even cracked the interview to over 17 companies. However, the opportunities didn’t live up to his expectations.

It is said that every end is the start of something new. Ishan found his turning point in life and made up his mind to develop a platform that could help everybody reach to the company that is perfect for them. Thus was formed Spot in Job, a platform, unlike other platforms and consultancies which just want to complete their job by placing the candidate.

Here’s how Ishan has been living his new dream since 2013.

Kindly brief us about the company and its initial journey.

We started the company back in 2013 with a dream to offer jobs hassle-free at no cost. We transformed to digitalization to scale the business in 2017 and we leveraged our business to reach to the max audience looking for job and companies looking to hire a better reliable candidate from a reliable hiring solution “Spot In Job”.

We mainly work in the white-collar jobs category with an aim to help small to enterprise-level companies that struggle to find the right candidate for their company. We offer placement services in various sectors including but not limited to just technology, aerospace and defense, energy and chemicals, transportation and logistics, communications, banking and finance and education, and the non-profit industry sector.

Tell us about the solutions/services that the company offers.

Currently, our company is offering full-time white-collar jobs, remote jobs & we are looking forward to adding part-time jobs, internships, 3rd party hiring, etc.

We have keen attention on detailing and so we stand out in every other city we start catering to our clients. We work for a client-centric approach which helps in getting only those candidates shortlisted which are perfect for the company’s growth.

As we stand with companies, we also stand strong with candidates to get free, fast & efficiently reliable jobs for job seekers. We make placements available free for all the candidates in all the regions and try to find a job near to their location. We also make sure that neither of our client companies charges anything from our candidates.

Please share the latest technology that the company is utilizing to offer better services.

We use Laravel from the technological perspective which is more secure and faster in terms of speed. We have an internal format of data sorting that helps us bifurcate candidate in a perfect format.

Given the new normal, the role of HR and related HR solutions is expected to change as remote work will become more mainstream. How do you think it will affect the HR Solutions industry and how is your company prepared to handle it?

Given the new normal the HR role isn’t much affected as the placements go remote in this scenario. We are already into remote jobs and so we don’t think it’s a new normal for us, its just a mainstream shift.

What can we expect of the company in future?

We have collected more than expected CVs from India and our goal is to operate globally and provide the best service to all the job seekers and we are automating things that can help them apply better and in a faster manner with a hassle-free application submission.
