NASSCOM and WorldSkills aligned with Akkado to execute the first-ever Cloud Computing skill contest at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The event witnessed the great minds from 10 countries showcase their potential and skills in a 5-day mega affair.
The skill of cloud computing for WorldSkills Competition was led by SSC IT-ITeS NASSCOM and NSDC together with AWS India and Ctrls. Through the International Cloud Computing Challenge 2019, Cloud Computing Skill is being brought at the WorldSkills Competition for the first time in the upcoming global skills challenge scheduled for August 2019, in KAZAN, Russia. It was a moment of pride for India as besides Belgium, Brazil, China, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Russia, and Singapore, the country got to challenge in the Cloud Computing segment for the first time ever.
The contest was announced open after a glittering opening ceremony at Hotel Shangri-La, Delhi after which the participants moved to the site at the NASSCOM office. It was heartening to see such talent who had previously won several accolades in their respective countries put their skills to test against fellow international candidates and exchange ideas and technical know-how.
Ireland bagged the Gold Medal Winning Team followed by Brazil who won the Silver Medal and Bronze Medal was bagged by Team Korea.
For Akkado, it was yet another feather in its hat of the ever-growing portfolio of success and achievements. From the opening ceremony, competition execution, closing ceremony, branding to merchandising, Akkado executed a seamless event to ensure that the participants got the best environment to challenge with each other.
