Suman Nair is a Tata Institute of Social Sciences graduate, certified Business Coach from Leadership University, USA, a Breakthrough NLP Coach and a certified GE trainer. Along with SHL, Suman conducted numerous workshops for hundreds of executives to co-create development plans for participating executives and enhance their leadership skills.
In her 20 year career, prior to becoming a consultant, Suman held leadership positions in global organizations like GE & Mastek championing HR strategies at the executive level, which resulted in practical and manageable HR programs that improved business results. This corporate experience helps her appreciate the impact of HR initiatives on organization effectiveness and growth through people. With the intention of giving back, Suman has also worked with academic institutions like ISTD, Welingkar Management Institute, etc. as faculty and facilitated programs for NGOs.
She has been awarded – The Learner Catalyst Award, “Role Model and Exemplary Leader in Learning and OD” from Trainers’ Forum. She has been recognized as one of the six top women achievers, 2015 by WonderWoman, an India Today Portal. Suman’s Invaluable Advice to the Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint hearted. Starting and scaling up a venture is challenging and requires hard work and perseverance for success. Suman says “I used to have nothing to lose, but now that I have a lot to lose, I have a whole new perspective on this. Even at the top, you still have to act like you have nothing to lose. Regardless of financial stability or the size of the company/wealth —those people that take action and risk without the fear of failure are the ones who ultimately take market share.”
“If you want to be a winner, you can’t make success your goal. The key is to do something noteworthy, surely success will follow. If your work is your passion and fulfilling, the rest will come. My success today is due to the fact that my focus has been on sharing, learning, exploring and solutioning!”
